From May 16 to 23, the 28th Congress and 93rd Annual Meeting of the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD-CIGB 2025) was held in Chengdu. As a principal organizer, CHN Energy comprehensively showcased its technological innovations in the hydropower sector, garnering widespread recognition from global experts.
At the "Digital Intelligence Empowering Dam Construction and Operation" symposium, the Group delivered a keynote report titled Hydropower Development and Intelligent Construction at CHN Energy, detailing its practical achievements and breakthroughs in hydropower engineering. The technical exhibition highlighted landmark projects including the 315-meter Shuangjiangkou Dam (the world's tallest) and the Dagangshan Arch Dam (meeting the highest seismic resistance standards), alongside digital innovations such as the Cloud Hydropower smart management system.
During the event, international experts conducted field inspections at Shuangjiangkou and Houziyan hydropower stations on the Dadu River. ICOLD Secretary-general Frédéric Corrégé praised Shuangjiangkou Dam's safety protocols and project timeline management as exemplary in global dam construction.
Under the theme "Common Challenges, Shared Future, Better Dams", the conference attracted approximately 2,000 experts from over 100 countries to address critical issues including climate resilience and dam safety. CHN Energy's presentations demonstrated China's technical leadership and innovative capabilities in advancing sustainable hydropower solutions worldwide.
