As of May 22, CHN Energy Qinghai Branch has achieved operational status for 10 energy storage facilities, with total installed capacity exceeding 3,000.7 MWh.
This infrastructure can fulfill daily electricity demands for 150,000 households while annually saving over 20,000 metric tons of standard coal equivalent and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 56,000 tons.
The company demonstrates clustered development in energy storage deployment. The 1,020 MWh project by its Hainan subsidiary has become a regional benchmark, while the Haixi subsidiary's photovoltaic-storage synergy system shows remarkable operational efficiency. Collaborative projects in Haibei and Maerdang regions effectively enhance new energy absorption capacity through coordinated operations.
Through intelligent operation upgrades incorporating AI management systems, the company has significantly improved fault resolution efficiency. Current focus includes advancing the Tongren energy storage project, pioneering string-level storage technology innovations, and demonstrating grid-forming energy storage applications to strengthen grid coordination capabilities.
