On July 11, the Virtual Power Plant (VPP) developed by CHN Energy Shandong Branch completed its registration and public notification with the Shandong Power Exchange Center, marking the official commissioning of CHN Energy's first VPP project in east China’s Shandong province.
The project has established a load resource pool of 519.06 MW, with a maximum adjustable capacity of 41.154 MW. Utilizing internet terminals and 5G technology, it enables real-time load data access and interconnection with the power grid dispatch system, forming a coordinated source-grid-load-storage management system. By integrating industrial and commercial loads in a #2F unit model format, the VPP provides interfaces for future resources like distributed photovoltaic systems. A smart platform facilitates load monitoring and optimized dispatch.
Following its commissioning, the VPP will be integrated into the unified operations management system, contributing to the development of a new power system. Through optimized power resource allocation, it will help reduce electricity costs for users while supporting grid peak shaving, valley filling and the integration of new energy.
