The World Games 2025 concluded in Chengdu, Sichuan on August 17. During the event, CHN Energy’s Sichuan-based subsidiaries supplied a cumulative 3.423 billion kWh of electricity, ensuring reliable power support for the competitions.

Throughout the Games, the Group implemented comprehensive measures to guarantee stable and secure electricity supply during both the summer peak and the event. A dedicated power supply plan was activated, emphasizing enhanced equipment maintenance and inspection to sustain maximum output under high-temperature, high-load conditions. Operations were adjusted in real-time based on grid demand and market dynamics to align generation targets with actual output.

Hydropower facilities leveraged coordinated dispatching of cascaded stations and regional hydro-solar synergy, executing precise “valley-hour storage and peak-hour generation” strategies. By dynamically adjusting reservoir flood limits, water storage increased by 350 million cubic meters, boosting generation by nearly 400 million kWh. During the opening ceremony, hydropower peak output reached 9.4 GW, meeting 14.5% of Sichuan’s peak load. Thermal power units adopted eco-friendly operations, optimizing coal-fired parameters and strengthening emission monitoring to ensure sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide levels stayed well below national standards, supporting green and reliable power throughout the Games.
