At 0:00 AM local time on August 15, CHN Energy successfully completed the 96-hour net grid capacity test for two 350MW supercritical coal-fired generating units at its PLTU SUMSEL 1 Project in Indonesia. This milestone marks the project's full transition from construction to commercial operation.

As a flagship project under China's Belt and Road Initiative and CHN Energy's going global strategy, PLTU SUMSEL 1 Project demonstrated exceptional execution efficiency. The project team front-loaded full-process commissioning activities, completing boiler acid cleaning two days ahead of Unit 1's back-feeding power supply and finishing boiler blowing within two weeks. Through close coordination with PLN, Unit 1 commenced full-system commissioning within one month after receiving back-fed power and achieved first grid synchronization just two days later. Building on this success, the team efficiently completed commissioning for Unit 2 and its substation, securing subsequent grid connections for both units.

The project features innovative applications including fan mills with high-temperature flue gas ducts, alongside an advanced environmental protection system integrating high-efficiency desulfurization and low-NOx combustion technology. With projected annual operational hours reaching 7,008, the plant will deliver stable, reliable power to support industrial expansion and improve residential electricity access across South Sumatra.

This successful commissioning establishes a replicable implementation model for CHN Energy's future Belt and Road projects while significantly enhancing the Group's brand influence in global energy markets.
